How it works

From first call to first shift

  1. You tell us the job

Site, dates, hours, number of officers and any access rules.

  2. We quote in writing

A clear hourly price for the cover, with no hidden extras.

  3. Officers are briefed

Site rules, emergency procedures and who to call, before the first shift.

  4. Cover starts

Officers check in, take post and log the shift. You get the log.

Inside a shift

The same routine, every shift.

Officers arrive early, are checked in, briefed and walked round the site before they take post. Everything that happens goes in the log, and the log goes to you.

  1. Officer arrives. Licence and ID checked.
  2. Briefing with the duty manager. Site walk.
  3. Posts taken. Radio check.
  4. Capacity count recorded. Break rota followed.
  5. Close down. Incidents written up.
  6. Handover to manager. Log sent.

What you can expect

Four things we commit to

  • Licence checked before every shift

We only deploy officers who hold a valid SIA licence for the work, and we check it before they start.

  • Briefed before the first shift

Site rules, emergency procedures and who to call, covered before an officer takes post.

  • A written log, every shift

Incidents, counts and handovers recorded, and sent to you at the end of the shift.

  • One named contact

You deal with one person who knows your site and answers when you call.

Questions

Straight answers

Are your officers SIA licensed?

Yes. We only deploy officers who hold the SIA licence that the work requires, a Door Supervisor licence for door work and a Security Guard licence for guarding. We check the licence before each officer starts.

Are you an SIA Approved Contractor?

Not at present. The Approved Contractor Scheme is voluntary and has to be applied for and assessed. We will not use the ACS name or mark unless we are approved.

Which areas do you cover?

We work across the UK. Tell us where the site is and we will confirm cover for that area.

How is the price set?

By the hour, per officer. The rate depends on the licence type, the hours, the day and how much notice we have. You get it in writing before anything starts.

Can you cover at short notice?

Sometimes. It depends on who is available. Send the details and we will tell you straight away whether we can do it.

Who does the gas and electrical work?

Registered engineers only. Gas work needs a Gas Safe registered engineer, and electrical work is done by a qualified electrician. Plumbing, painting and general repairs are covered by our maintenance service.
